Last week the head of Instagram shared some upcoming changes. Video has been and will continue to be increasingly important. If you’re feeling stressed by this announcement, here are a few things to consider:
1. Think about how you can start incorporating video into your strategy in a manageable way. Show your face! Try a short live interview! Or, simply show your designs in motion using your phone camera. Don’t jump to invest in high production video or spend hours learning Reels. Video is a great way to tell your story in an engaging way.
2. If you don’t want to create videos, then don’t! Try more carousel posts in your feed. Use a strong call to action encouraging people to swipe.
3. Talk to your ideal clients and invite them to message you, invite them to join your email list. Go deeper with a smaller audience.
4. Consistency is the key to success!
Instagram is a great tool, and I believe it will continue to be, but like all social media platforms, we have no control over it. If you don’t have an email marketing strategy, now might be the time to create one! Don’t miss my webinar about Email Marketing that Sells with @kathleencutler on July 13th. Click here to register. ✨
