Advice that feels especially important right now

In two recent interviews for The Stay Gold Collective - one with talented designer and Teko Gallery owner Alexis Pavlantos, and another with Jeff Feero, Managing Partner at Alex Sepkus - a consistent message stood out: relationships and authenticity are the foundation of a lasting jewelry business.

Both shared that while there are many ways to build a career in this industry, success comes from:

Staying true to your vision. Don’t chase trends, make the work you believe in, and tell the story only you can tell.

Nurturing connections. Whether with clients, stores, craftspeople, or fellow designers, genuine relationships are what keep your business growing.

I know I’ve shared similar advice before, but it’s always worth hearing again, and it feels especially important right now.
