I'm Liz.

My passion is working with independent jewelry artists and helping them build businesses that are sustainable, connected, and true to who they are.

MORE ABOUT ME ↓

I'm not a maker myself, but I have a deep appreciation for the people who are.

I love working one-on-one with designers to help them tell their stories and figure out the business side of things. I'm drawn to emerging designers who have a vision and passion for what they make.

Before I found my way to the jewelry industry I studied Marketing and Communications at Drexel University. I was already blogging in my spare time, and after graduation I moved into digital marketing and eventually found myself working with large brands like Black & Decker. It wasn't where I was meant to be, but it taught me a lot.

A cross-country move led me to my first jewelry industry job

as Digital Marketing Manager for Todd Reed in Boulder, Colorado.I fell in love with the industry. I worked across advertising, public relations, sales, and trade shows, and got a front row seat to the jewelry design and making process.

I left Todd Reed in 2016 to launch Stay Gold, moved to Asheville, North Carolina, and started working with jewelry brand clients. In 2019 I created the Stay Gold Collective, a membership community for independent jewelry designers that continues to grow.

In 2022 I teamed up with marketing expert Laryssa Wirstiuk to launch the Success with Jewelry podcast.

I've also curated the New Designer Gallery for JA New York and the Designer Jewelry section of Premiere and Curated at Luxury Lifestyle at NY NOW. I’ve been featured in Forbes, JCK Magazine, INSTORE Magazine, and National Jeweler.

I work with makers and creative business owners through Craft Your Commerce, a program by Mountain BizWorks here in Asheville that supports artists, craftspeople, designers, and creatives at every stage of their business. That work has deepened my understanding of what it takes to run a handmade business.

Asheville has been home for a decade and I love it here. It's an incredible place to be if you love craft, making, and creative community.

The region has a long tradition of craft that I find inspiring, and being here has shaped how I think about this work.

When I'm not thinking about marketing you can find me at the playground with my five-year-old, reading contemporary fiction, listening to pop-punk, or hugging my dogs.
